John Scott is already the most popular NHL All-Star, at least according to t-shirt sales. As Yahoo’s Puck Daddy flagged for us this morning, the NHL is already sold out of Scott All-Star t-shirts, and that’s four days before the game.

As the fan voted Pacific Division captain, we knew Scott was going to be a popular addition to the weekend, but perhaps the NHL didn’t anticipate this much demand. After all, who can resist the irony.

And with high profile players like Alex Ovechkin and Jonathan Toews sitting out the weekend due to injury and illness respectively, Scott’s draw only becomes bigger. Scott is popular with fans, with his teammates and a guy you can’t help but cheer for.
